Our District Class had lots of fun creating their very own art installation for Bonfire Night!

The children were encouraged to use a range of different tools to complete a group painting of fireworks. Paintbrushes, sponges, building blocks and sensory toys were dipped in paint, as well as the children's hands, feet and everything else!

The teachers pinned paper up on the wall and floor and encouraged the children to splatter paint on the paper by flicking or by throwing the objects, so that they could see the effects.

This activity not only encouraged the children's creativity, but also gave them the opportunity to explore the sensory feel of the paint and a chance to improve their motor skills. Most importantly the children had lots of fun creating their masterpiece!
