HPPN marked Children's Mental Health Week with a number of activities.
From running races and preparing healthy snacks (healthy body, healthy mind), to lavender playdough, all of our classes made sure they marked Children's Mental Health Week!
We routinely have yoga classes and talk about emotions in our classrooms, but this week we added some extra activities to help our children to focus on looking after themselves and each other.
Piccadilly Class learned about healthy foods they can eat which help their bodies and minds grow strong. They also spent some time focusing on different emotions and how to express themselves.
Meanwhile Central Class focussed on being brave and making brave choices, helping them to build resilience. The children were invited to put their hands in to sensory bags filled with different substances, such as shaving foam, flour and cornflakes, while another involved the children tasting different flavours, including jam, ketchup, marmite, vinegar and lemon!
The children were all very brave and loved trying everything on offer!
