Inuits for a day!

As part of our sustainability drive the children have been exploring our igloo made of milk bottles.

Over 200 milk bottles were collected by parents, staff and local businesses for us to make an igloo for the children. Miss Naomi and Miss Ria spent a great deal of time trialling out the best methods of building before coming in after hours to build as a surprise for the children.

We had been talking about building the igloo for a few weeks, but the children were so surprised to come in and find it had appeared overnight in their garden!

Everybody, from Circle to Jubilee Class was given the chance to crawl inside and explore the igloo, before the best fun, breaking it apart!

All of the milk bottles have now been recycled, and the lids have been saved for future art projects.
